There are a number of ministries that occur at Northwest that are not specifically run for any of the three demographic groups. These are listed below.

Pastoral Care

Northwest Community Baptist Church values its people highly and through our pastoral care team and in conjunction with our life groups we seek to meet the daily needs, both physical and spiritual, of our people.

Worship/Music Team

The Worship/Music Team is responsible for training and caring for our musicians and singers. Our worship leaders prepare the music program and order of events for our Sunday morning service. They have regular practices scheduled throughout the year. There is also a group of primary age children who sing together as a group and occasionally join with us in our morning service.

Life Groups

Northwest Community Baptist Church is a great believer in the value of smaller groups (called 'Life Groups') to enhance the Christian walk of its members and friends. Everyone is encouraged to be part of a life group where connections can be made in a non-threatening environment under the direction of the group facilitator.

Missions

Northwest Community Baptist Church supports a number of overseas missionaries in different mission organisations. Our primary support goes to Global Interaction. We are also involved in interior mission work through the Ministry Support Department of the Baptist Union of New South Wales and the ACT. We divide our budget for missions into three areas; local, national and global missions. It is the aim of the church to spend at least 10% of our giving on mission work. One of our larger community missions is 'Meals With Love', where we provide pre cooked, frozen meals for people in crisis. In 2008 NorthWest undertook its first 'Rural Partnership Mission' in the Riverina district of NSW. In 2010 we were able to send our first overseas mission team for a three week mission to Thailand. It is our policy to continue to develop mission teams and short term mission within the church.

Northwest Community Trust and Northwest Community Ministries Pty Ltd

Northwest Community Baptist Church operates a charitable trust and a company that administrates that trust through a board of directors who are elected by the church membership each year. The Trust houses our various community ministries which are listed below;

Northwest Community Childcare

This service operates a number of before and after school care centres within our local area. These services employee more than 12 staff who care for in excess of 100 families. Our aim is to bring the love of Jesus to both the families of the children and the staff we employ.

Refresh Retreat

Every two to three years a team of people organise and run the Refresh Women's Retreat. The aim of this interdenominational ministry is to bring refreshment to women while witnessing to the reality of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is a strong emphasis on caring for and loving those who attend, resourcing them for their daily lives.

High School Chaplaincy

Northwest administer and employ the chaplain at Quakers Hill High School. The aim of this government funded project is to encourage young people to undertake a spiritual journey, searching for spiritual truth and meaning. Our current chaplain is Jenine Verady-Szabo, who is a member of Riverstone Baptist Church
